A Proud Moment for Gem Barbara Denise Thomas, Birmingham Chapter

Gem Barbara Denise Thomas, the daughter of Charmer and Charm Mahlon & Lottie Thomas from the Birmingham Chapter, has enjoyed a wonderful and blessed 2014-2015 school year as an 11th grader at Ramsay High School. In August, she was accepted into the school’s International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. To date, she has maintained 4.075 grade point average and ranks 12/201 in her class. This past February, Gem Barbara scored a “26” on her ACT, but is determined to retake the test to obtain an even higher score.

She was inducted into the National Honor’s Society and Mu Alpha Theta on April 13, 2015. Her career goal is to become a Critical Care Pediatrician. Barbara’s intentions are to attend Baylor or Stanford University. Mom and dad are both very proud of her accomplishments, thus far, and request you to continuously pray with them as Gem Barbara pursues her dream and goal. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Hawthorne, the niece of Gloria H. Voltz, Johnny B. Hawthorne, Jr. and Charm Joyce Roberts also of the Birmingham Chapter.
