Charm Patti Rollins Celebrates 75th Birthday

Patricia Howard Page Rollins fondly know to her friends and family as 'Miss Patti' was born February 21, 1940 in Lake Charles, La to Robert Charles and Dorothy Carriere Howard. She was raised by Fred and Maude Carriere Alston in Houston TX. Patti attended and graduated from St Nicholas Catholic School.

She married Francis Page, Sr. who died in 2002. Together they had three children, Tina Page Stepter, Lynn Page and Francis Page Jr. She is the grandmother to seven beautiful granddaughters: Brittani Stepter, Erika Stepter, Rachel Powell, Gabrielle Page, Khayla Page, Erika Rachal and Falyn Page.

After retirement from nursing, Patti married Frank Rollins, Houston's first black jeweler with Rollins Jewelry Store in old Palm Center.

Patti comes from very politically and socially conscious family. After serving as Harris County Democratic Party Precinct Chair, for District 136, which she also sat on the County Executive committee, in many Houston elections, she has recently retired her position.

She currently volunteers in serval philanthropic organizations committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences. Patti currently volunteers at MD Anderson Cancer Center, serves of the board of Target Hunger, President of Houston Charms Incorporated and President the St. Mary Purification Altar Guild and member of Senior in Action, Charter Member of Sister in the Spirit, past Vice Region of the Catholic Daughters Americas, and member of Senior in Action. Patti also serves as Certified Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to the Sick and Homebound.

She has been recognized by Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Office of Aging, Catholic Daughters Association of Houston, and the Blue Triangle Community Center’s 2014 Living Legend.
